Bath Spa University  / New Basement


MACLENNAN-LSE WATERPROOFING was contacted by Morgan Ashurst to tender for the new building at Bath Spa University . MACLENNAN-LSE WATERPROOFING then secured the project and carried out the works on time and on budget.


 The works consisted of installing GRACE Preprufe to areas below the structural slab and to the earth retaining walls. The Preprufe was rolled out and sealed as necessary over the prepared blinding. GRACE LM was used to seal around the pile caps

 
MMACLENNAN-LSE WATERPROOFING were then called back to site to install the vertical Preprufe to the pre-fixed wall shutters, prior to the concrete being placed.

A final visit was required to fix a protective drainage membrane ( GRACE Hydroduct 220 ) over the Preprufe. The drainage membrane was detailed over the land drain which ensures water pressure does not build up against the Preprufe

The work was guaranteed by LSE for 10 years and that was underwritten by the GPI which is the only long term waterproofing insurance available.

The Guarantees can be extended for a larger premium if required.
