Waterproofing / Basement Projects..
LSE are working on an elegant Georgian country manor originally established as a Hunting Lodge in the 13th Century, then rebuilt by the Duke of Clarence in the 1740’s for royalty.
Queen Victoria and her family and poets T.S.Eliot and Alfred Lord
Tennyson among others have been associated with the estate, which is
currently undergoing refurbishment to transform it into ‘the
ultimate house in the country’ complete with grand spa. It is
expected to re-open summer 2008.
LSE were employed by Carrilion the main contractors for the project
to provide a waterproofing scheme for the four basements being
created under the new buildings and the main house.

LSE designed a membrane and drainage system using Newton Membranes
and installed the system to the first three basements. The fourth
basement is still under construction.
Most of the waterproofing relies on the site drainage arrangements
although in one area a sump and pumps have had to be installed.

The membrane system has been installed to the inside of the outside
walls and the internal wall has then been built

The Newton Lath system was used for damp proofing internal walls and
the ground and first floor of the main house.

The Newton 500 system was designed in to the parapet construction by
LSE to prevent
penetrating damp.
