MACLENNAN-LSE WATERPROOFING were contracted by R.Moulding and Co of South Newton Salisbury to carry out waterproofing to a basement that flooded so quickly and to such a depth that the water flooded out through the basement door into the road outside.

The contractor had 11,000 gallons of water removed one afternoon but the basement flooded and filled again the same evening.


MACLENNAN-LSE WATERPROOFING devised a flood water removal scheme and calculated the size of the pumps that would be required to remove the water from the cellar quicker than it came in.




MACLENNAN-LSE WATERPROOFING installed  perimeter drainage and  Sumps and pumps. The wall membrane was MACLENNAN-LSE WATERPROOFING system 500.
The pumps were 4 individually piped NP400 pumps in two Newton Titan sumps.
The pumps are guaranteed for 3 years by MACLENNAN-LSE WATERPROOFING Membranes.



The walls were lined with an independent dry lining system with close cell insulation in between the and uprights. All services were installed behind the lining. The finished job was plaster boarded and finished with Thistle Multifinish.

All of the work was guaranteed by MACLENNAN-LSE WATERPROOFING for a period of 10 years. The pumps are checked and serviced every year by an independent pump servicing company.
 
 The guarantee is underwritten by GPI insurance so as the guarantee is still valid in the unlikely event that MACLENNAN-LSE WATERPROOFING should cease trading for any reason.
 








 The waterproofing guarantee can be extended for longer periods if required.
