MACLENNAN-LSE
WATERPROOFING were contacted by the Architects to assist in the design of the waterproofing of the new council office is Salisbury.
The design was particularly complex as many of the walls inside were to be face concrete, but because of the intended construction a Type A system was out of the question.
|
In the end a compromise to the construction had to be made and the use of all three types of waterproofing systems was employed |

For areas were an internal system could not be used. A Type A membrane (
GRACE Preprufe) was used combined with a Type B PVC water bar was used (GRACE
Servitite )
|
The remainder of the basement was waterproofed using the
MACLENNAN-LSE
WATERPROOFING cavity drain system. Which was finished with plasterboard adhered over the membrane. |

The work was guaranteed by MACLENNAN-LSE WATERPROOFING for 10 years and that was underwritten by the GPI which is the only long term waterproofing insurance available.
